How to Do a Daily Review with Anytype: A Journal System You Can Actually Sustain
Daily review is not mainly a discipline problem. It is a workflow problem. This …
During the Lunar New Year, I took advantage of the free time to thoroughly reorganize my workflow.
As a result, I unexpectedly revived a tool that I had neglected for a long time—Anytype.
In this article, I’ll talk about why I neglected it, why I picked it up again, and how all of this is related to “my innate extreme laziness.”
I was originally wondering how to deal with Anytype.
Without AI services before, I had neglected it for a long time, and only some sporadic operations were still in use.
During the Lunar New Year, I took advantage of the free time to greatly reorganize my workflow— I organized many projects and various software services, and also wanted to find some inspiration for the future direction.
The entire Lunar New Year was spent interacting with AI XD The funniest thing is that I even asked AI how well it knew me… (I’ll share it when I have time)
If I didn’t say it, you might not know I’m an extremely lazy person.
Do you know I’m… extremely lazy…?
But this laziness doesn’t mean doing nothing, but rather that I hate “trouble.”
When I was doing insurance early on, I hated writing insurance applications and policy change forms, always thinking about how I couldn’t just change everything with one sentence. But calling customer service and recording were not enough, they still required you to sign.
In short… I really hate trouble.
My INTJ influence should also be significant, I feel that I should read “The Courage to Be Disliked” more, although I’m already very used to being disliked. Heh!
Speaking of hating trouble, this is actually the same as the core concept of 懶得變有錢 (Lazy to Rich)— finding a way to save effort so that you can go the distance.
Speaking of the revived Anytype, the previous reading and note-taking were very lengthy projects.
Although I myself like reading, note-taking, and writing, I would still be defeated if these were troublesome.
I like extreme automation, because I’m lazy enough, so since I was a child, I’ve liked simplifying things.
I remember that every time I moved, the biggest luggage was probably the computer. I didn’t have many clothes, and not many daily necessities.
This is the same principle as making yourself lazy and strong— laziness is not giving up, but subtraction.
Laziness is a way of thinking. Using a more efficient way to solve things you don’t want to do is the only way to become a truly lazy person.
True laziness is not doing nothing. It’s finding the most effortless way to do the things that are worth doing well.
The revival of Anytype represents my willingness to invest a little construction cost for “worthwhile things”— as long as it is smooth and automated afterwards.
The same principle applies to workflow and financial management:
Build the structure once, and then you can be lazy with confidence.
